The Bluffs is the first apartment complex on the West Side of Evergreen (Hwy99) and contains about 240 units. I think the last census cited over 150 school age children (a very conservative estimate), so then you add in all the children between infant and six years old, and the number is probably closer to 300 or 400. You get the idea.

The Bluffs, and Casino Road in general, is commonly referred to as “the ghetto.” This is not an affectionate term. There are elements of truth in that statement – it is significantly poor,

perceived as over-populated, full of seemingly unsupervised kids getting into trouble – but the truth is that it is full of people who are just like you and I, people who worry about bills and rent, people who want their children to succeed and be healthy and safe, people who want to love and be loved.
